What an awesome visit right before Halloween coupled with delightful patio weather. What's not to love about all of that? If you've read my other reviews, you know that my wife and I have close to 5 decades of dining at Ojeda's. I even started down the street a bit when the original little restaurant was on the corner of Lucas and Maple. I so remember mama and papa Ojeda working in the little restaurant. The food WAS so good. As I mention, it was perfect patio weather. We'd headed over to Dallas from Ft. Worth because I want one of the "Spooky Margaritas" they were serving. Let me rephrase, I HAD to have one of the "Spooky Margaritas!" I was hooked after seeing all the cool photos on social media. After being greeted and seated, a basket of hot chips and Ojeda's outstanding salsa arrived. I immediately told the server, two more big bowls please. It has the best "kick" to it. We love the vinegar taste. We ordered a couple of the "Spooky Margaritas" and our entrees. In the decades my wife and I've dined at Ojeda's I've never seen my wife ordered anything but a #3, puffed taco and rice and beans. I usually order a #4, three chalupas. But today I ordered a #10, a puffed taco and a cheese chili relleno. It was an incredible Texas fall day. We enjoyed our margaritas, chips and salsa plus great conversations. The only issue was there was a pesky bee focused on getting into our margaritas, but we dealt with the situation. After a short wait, our entrees on hot platters. Of course, our food was outstanding. Ojeda's has never let us down. We love our trips down I30 to Dallas and then leave with very happy tummies. What a great way to have a pre-Halloween celebration.

Location Medical district- just a couple of blocks off medical district and maple streets Atmosphere Festive Mexican, casual- great for groups Seating Bar, 2 dining areas-tables, booths-great for groups Service Outstanding! Attentive and immediate. Menu Complimentary salsa and chips-chips are delish-light and not heavily salted. Specials per day for lunch. We had the Monday special-puff taco with enchilada, beans/rice-excellent! I like a forward corn flavor with enchilada tortilla and it did not disappoint. Our group had the flautas-4 large and mini flautas-6 shorter. Everyone was happy and well satisfied. Summary Our go to restaurant for work lunches-always perfect!

First time here, as a meeting place for our local plant group. It's in a harsher part of town, older area for sure. This place has its own parking lot that fenced and gated. Inside, it's a clutter with Mexican motif. However the music they played on this day wasn't from south of the border. Staff was plentiful, but our waitress was mostly non existent. I had to track her down a few times. The food was good. The chimigunga, with ground beef, was good, tho the meat wasn't flavored. The Chili Relleno, with chicken, was really good. Had some good flavor to the chicken. The ranchero sauce was a mixture of ranchero and queso, it was very interesting, but good. If you are in the area, it's worth a taste.

My first time here. The atmosphere is great. Very lively but not too noisy. The chips are great. The salsa is too sweet and hot for me. I had the cheese poblano with rice & beans. It also had a flavorful sauce. It was hot and fresh with a great poblano flavor. Our server was friendly and helpful.

Last time I was here, it was 2015. Almost ten years later and it's been consistent. I ate everything up because when you live in Nashville now, the level of Tex-Mex or Mexican food in general is very much not what it is in Texas...obviously. Having a swirl, hot chips, spicy salsa and a hot plate of goodness, it really hit the spot. NOTHING has changed, and I'm OK with that because it is your hole in the wall tex-mex restaurant that stays true to what they serve. You have your regulars of locals, so the ambiance feels like you're in the right spot for what you're craving. Like I've stated before in an old review, don't expect to be blown away. But it hits the spot. I'm actually craving it again and I used to never crave coming here. Lol
